“Show Me the Money 6″ Particint Jang Yong-joon Writes on SNS, My Father’s Life and Mine are Irrelevant”
After quitting Mnet’s “High School Rapper” for his behavior controversy, Jang Yong-joon recently participated in auditions for “Show Me the Money 6.”
He posted on his Instagram today to clear the air regarding his “Show Me the Money 6” appearance.
“I think there is a lot of controversy regarding my application for “Show Me the Money. I’d like to explain. I’m not a perfect person, and am learning a lot. During my controversy, Prima Hyungs helped me a lot musically and helped me to mature as a person as well. I am ashamed of my past where I did many things that minors should not do. Although I am unable to erase this past, I have conviction and passion for my music, so I decided to stand in front of the public again.
I know there are a lot of people who don’t want to see me, so I won’t ask that you look at me fondly, I just ask for another chance. I won’t make any excuses and will show that I’ve learned and will not make those mistakes again. I’m just an 18 year old who is fearful of how much controversy his words create. Teenagers change drastically even in just 1-2 years. I’d like to ask those who hate me to once again give me a chance as I grow from a teenager to an adult. Thank you to Prima hyungs and the few who support my music.
Finally, I’d like to add that my father’s and my lives are irrelevant. We decided to respect and cheer on each other’s lives. From a young age, I was often bullied due to my father’s career and my classmates would even create photoshopped photos of him to pass around. Even then, I supported my father’s career and believe that my father feels the same way about mine. Because of personality conflicts, it’s been a while since we lived apart, so I hope you will keep comments about my father to a minimum. Thank you.”
Summary of Notable Netizen Comments:
- “You wouldn’t be alive without your parents.”
- “No, you’re related.”
- “Just stay quiet.”
- “Try having a conscious.”
- “You went to an international school even though you’re Korean because of your father’s conections. You take advantage of the benefits and claim that your father’s irrelevant.”
